Oil drilling additives mainly include the following categories:
An aggravating agent. It is used to increase the specific gravity of drilling fluid to balance formation pressure and
prevent blowout accidents.
Fluid loss reducer. It is used to reduce the loss of drilling fluid to the formation and protect the colloidal stability of the mud.
Dispersant. Used to disassemble the mesh structure in drilling fluid, release free water, and reduce the viscosity and shear
force of drilling fluid.
Drag reducer. It is used to reduce the friction resistance of the drill bit in the formation, improve the penetration of the drill bit,
and shorten the drilling time.
Foam agent . It is used to produce foam, reduce the density and viscosity of drilling fluid, and improve the fluidity of mud. 3
Defoamer. Used to remove foam from drilling fluid and maintain normal mud flow.
Cement dispersant. Used to help cement disperse, prevent precipitation, improve the strength of cement.
An acidifier. It can be used to change the properties of rock strata, improve the permeability of oil and gas, and increase oil
field production.
Mud. Used to fill well walls, reduce bit friction, cool bits and transport cuttings.
Water glass. Used for cementing, it has the characteristics of high strength and good permeability.
Polymer. Used for thickening, reducing the viscosity of internal suspension and improving mud stability.
The surfactant . It is used to reduce the interfacial tension of oil and water, and promote the mixing and emulsification of
crude oil and water.
Corrosion inhibitor . Used to protect the device from corrosion.
Water injection agent. Used to improve water quality, prevent sediment formation and scale generation.
A gel. It is used to plug cracks and pores and improve oil recovery.
