1. Concept of cementing

In order to strengthen the well wall, ensure continued safe drilling, seal off the oil, gas and water layer, 

ensure stratified testing during exploration and reasonable oil and gas production during the entire mining

 process, the operation of placing high-quality steel pipes and filling cement in the wellbore and steel pipe

 annulus is called cementing engineering.

2. Purpose of cementing

1. Seal off complex formations prone to collapse and leakage, consolidate drilled holes and ensure smooth 

drilling;

2. Provide the basis for installing the wellhead device, control the wellhead spray and ensure that the mud outlet

 in the well is higher than the mud pool to  facilitate the flow of drilling fluid back to the mud pool;

3. Seal off oil, gas and water layers to prevent oil, gas and water layers of different pressures from channeling each 

other, providing favorable conditions for  normal oil and gas exploitation;

4. Protect the fresh water resources in the upper sand layer from the pollution of oil, gas, salt water and other

 liquids in the lower rock layer;

5. After the oil well is put into operation, favorable conditions are created for acidizing and fracturing stimulation measures;
